Freiburg can be reached via a number of airports:
Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (EuroAirport)
The nearest airport to Freiburg and only 60 km away. It accommodates international scheduled and charter flights.
It can be reached from Freiburg direct by the Airport Bus or by bus and train, changing at Basle. You can reach the airport by car via the A5 Motorway in the direction of Basle then via the Motorway Junction Neuenburgvia Ottmarsheim/Mulhouse on the A35 or shortly before the Motorway Customs Point via the Palmrheinbruecke, Huningue and St. Louis.
City Airport Freiburg (EDTF)
Located directly at the Freiburg Exhibition Grounds and only 1.5 km from the city centre, the Freiburg City Airport (customs airport) provides a well-liked and direct air connection for businesses and business people and for pilots of private machines visiting Freiburg. The airport can accommodate machines of up to 10 tons. The city centre can easily be reached by bus or taxi.

Straßbourg Airport (Aèroport international Strasbourg)
Located approximately 60 km away from Freiburg just south of Strasbourg (near Entzheim). Can be reached by public transport by taking the train to Strasbourg (via Offenburg and Kehl). From there, there are several possibilities of getting to the airport - by bus, tram or regional train. You can travel to the airport by car via the A5 Motorway and national roads in France.
Airport Karlsruhe-Baden (Baden-Airpark)
The airport is located some 100 km north of Freiburg between Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe. The airport can be reached by public transport by train from Freiburg to Baden-Baden, Rastatt or Karlsruhe and then further by bus or as a direct bus connection by shuttle from Freiburg. It can be reached by car via the A5 Motorway (Baden-Baden exit).
Zürich Airport
Approximately 150 km from Freiburg, the airport can be easily reached by train with a direct ICE connection from Freiburg Main Station to Zurich Main Station and then by regional train to the airport. You can also reach the airport by car via the A5 Motorway to Basle and then on the A3 to Zurich.
Stuttgart Airport
Approximately 200 km from Freiburg the airport is easily reached by train from the main station in Freiburg via Karlsruhe to Stuttgart Main Station. From there, you can travel by suburban train to the airport. You can reach the airport by car via the A5 and A8 Motorways.
Frankfurt Airport
Approximately 270 km from Freiburg but with an excellent direct ICE connection from Freiburg Main Station to Frankfurt Airport in about 2 hours and from there you have direct access to the terminal.
Freiburg by car
From the North and the South via the Rhine Valley Motorway. A5 Frankfurt-Basle, exit "Freiburg Stadtmitte". A81 Stuttgart-Singen or the B31 (Höllental), Donaueschingen,Titisee-Neustadt. Pass Freiburg on the Schwarzwaldstrasse, cross over into Schreiberstrasse, in the direction of the motorway approach road "Mitte".
Train Connections
Freiburg lies on the ICE / IC route Frankfurt - Karlsruhe - Freiburg - Basle and it is only a few steps from the Main Station in Freiburg to the Convention Centre.
